OKay, I understand your hesitation regarding the price.. however, if you have had your nails checked by a doctor and they feel you need a prescription you are mostl likely dealing with an infection or fungus. Although there are natural alternative sout there you should invest in your self now. You don’t want it to get worse or cross contaminate your other toes or anyone else. Consider it this way you can’t afford NOT to! You could try over the counter alternatives but those don’t really contain the potency necessary to aleviate the condition. I have had numerous people come in for pedicures over the years and I have had to refuse offering a service until they have been cured. This can take some time. If you don’t take care of it the toe nails can become excessively thick and you may need to have the toe nails removed. Which can be very painful and very expensive! I am only assuming this based on your description provided. Without actually seeing it I am only sharing with you what I have seen over years in the industry. If you don’t trust the doctor, see another get a second oppinion. If the answer is the same ask if they have samples or a non-brand name version based on yur fixed budget. Ask for help in the medical field there are people out there that can assist you. Take care of your feet,and toes. They need you to look out for them..

Ps my own mother waited and didn’t take the med’s and had several nails infected and had those removed…..ouch! OUCH! Every stub your toe? its that times a hundred!
