What are some easy but nice and pro ways to put on nail polish?

I want to wear nail polish that looks really nice, and like a pro did it. I want to do it myself at home, have any suggestions? It should be inexpensive. Please include any websites!

Simple! All you need are three types of nail polish. Make sure they are new if you want to get the pro look. Buy N.Y.C nail polish(inexpensive, only $1 and they work very very well too!). The first color should be the base nail polish. It should be clear. Apply it on in nice long strokes. Second, apply the color of your choice. Thirds, apply the shiny top coat so that the nails look shiny and they last. Did I say inexpensive? The total only costs $3 with beautiful results.
