Which doctor should I see for my twisted vein on the finger?
I think my finger’s vein has been dis-located and it hurts.
Perhaps you have ‘bruised’ the vein…you dont say what happened.
A vein cannot be dislocated; it is lodged within tissues and has no other place to go!
It MAY rarely be possible, with a severe & complex injury,to suffer a “torque” (or twist) that is extremely painful but almost impossible to accomplish.
You may have jammed a knuckle, if that’s where it hurts, or suffered a blunt-force trauma directly adjacent to a vein — which also hurts like h*ll.
If you have a burning/aching sensation, it should resolve somewhat within a few hours and and be tender, achy, for a couple of days but heal on it’s own.
Otherwise, if you think you have severely injured yourself go to your ER or your GP.
A plastic surgeon generally performs hand surgeries, although some surgeons specialize in hands and leave the facelifts & nose jobs to the aestheticians of the surgical world.
