Why do people like to point out professional wrestling is fake?

We get the god d*mn point! We watch it for ENTERTAINMENT! If I watch an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond, am I supposed to yell out that all the characters on the show are fake to everyone??? The point is, Professional Wrestling fits in the ENTERTAINMENT category, along with acting, singing, dancing, etc. People that say that it’s fake are marks. Why do they say it?

Exactly. They are unaware of the concept of wrestling as an entertainment. They all feel wrestling is meant to be a real sport considering most of them are sports fans. They don’t think enough. Wrestling entertainment as technical as regular wrestling but they have to be more acrobatic which is even harder and they also are actors trying to plan out something every week. Is that not hard? And not all of it is fake. When they bleed they actually have to cut themselves. They actually DO encounter pain when they fall off the ladders in a ladder match. Wrestling entertainers DO get injured.
