Can someone with ear tubes in have ear drying drops put in their ears?
I know someone who has tubes in his ears. He is 5 years old. He was swimming the other day and thought he got water in his ears. can i give him drops to put in his ears to dry them out even though he has the tubes in?
NO my son had a wax buildup problem when he had tubes so we asked his doctor is there was any drops to put in his ears to help flush them out and he told us that do not put any type of drops in his ears because they can cause infections or even damage the hearing because of the opening in the ear drum in wich the tube goes through. The doctor said to use the wax ear plugs weather bathing or swimming so no water enters but if by chance some water does get inside to just let them dry out on their own he told us laying on that side will help the water run out on it’s own
