The best steam cleaner and spot remover?

I have 4 children and a dog….so you can imagine how dirty my carpets are lol…please does anybody know what the best steamer cleaner is and what spot remover solution i should use…I really appreciate it.

I have had a $200 Bissell steam cleaner for many years and have cleaned room after room with it. I have always had very light carpets and it has done the job and then some. My husband spilled an entire bowl of red wine on nearly white carpet after I went to bed. He didn’t want to tell me so it was dried in by morning. I fired up my Bissell and within 20 minutes had the dried red wine spot gone. My husband didn’t fare out so well after pulling that trick. I have to have a steam cleaner as I am a bit of a clean freak but I also have saved tons of money by doing rooms myself as opposed to hiring a pro. I stopped buying spot removers as none really did the job. I find with all the new carpets that soaking an area with cold water and tamping not rubbing up the stain and then tamping up the extra moisture works best. I have cats that do have the occasional hairball or god forbid, the butt scoot and this has worked perfectly every time. But in the end the steam cleaner can take care of it all. If you need a smaller steam cleaner for quick spots, I have heard the Little Green Machine is good for quick clean up of accidents. But they can’t do an entire room.
